A Unique Tango Festival

This year, Tango in Paradise’16 choose a traditional fabric BATIK with PRADA Contemporary motifs and coloring batik prada mixed from Indonesian and Argentina cultural aspects   is designed exclusively by Yanny Tan – the designer for Tango in Paradise’17.

A tradition of making batik is found in various countries, including Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, India, Sri Lanka, Philippines and Nigeria, the batik of Indonesia, however, is the best known. Indonesian batik made in the island of Java has a long history of acculturation, with diverse patterns influenced by a variety of cultures, and is the most developed in terms of pattern, technique, and the quality of workmanship. On 2nd October 2009, UNESCO designated Indonesian batik as a Masterpiece of Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity. The art of batik, a wax-resist dyeing method, has been practiced for centuries in Indonesia and is an integral part of ethnic life and religious ceremony. This intimate knowledge of the batik process is what makes the Indonesian artists the talented leaders in their field. Batik is a way of life for the Indonesian people and it is reflected in the many facets of rural and cultural living.
