In recent years, the passion to dance Tango has reached an endemic situation in certain places in Indonesia. In some major cities and tourist areas such as Bali, there are many venues of Tango. In Bali, the beautiful island that is often named “The Last Paradise”, the Tango Community is thriving with passion. There are various Tango shows and workshops conducted by various organizers almost thought every year. Increasingly, there is an enormous desire from Tango Lovers to seek deeper and deeper knowledge of this fascinating dance that has captivated their hearts. More and more major events bring the World Tango Maestros are therefore much welcome and anticipated events – where they can pursue and hone their skills, so that they can dance with their partners better with more enjoyment. It is precisely with this in mind that grand event is to be held in Bali – with the hope that it will become a rendezvous for the worldwide Tango Lovers.


The Aim

The Tango Festival will aim to provide an International meeting place for tango lovers of every level from throughout the world where by each and everyone will have a chance to meet with other tango lovers from different part of the world, to participate in the workshops or lessons, to enjoy the spectacular performances of the Argentinean Tango Masters, as well as enjoying Bali to the full. This year together, again with YAYASAN SENYUM BALI, we are celebrating our event by giving back to the unprivileged “cleft lip” children by giving them a bright smile on their faces.

Leandro Oliver y Laila Rezk

Leandro Oliver and Laila Rezk is one of the best couple dancers in the highly acclaimed “Una Noche de Tango” and “Tango x 2″, gifted with amazingly dynamic energy and great tango skills, with friendly and vibrant character, best exemplifies what it takes to be ambassadors of tango. Their clear command of their teaching syllabus and the quality and clarity of their choreographic skills during performance are the underlying components of their artistic talents.Dancers,Teachers and Coreographers, Leandro and Laila have trained with the most renowned Maestros : Juan Carlos Copes, Osvaldo and Miguel Angel Zotto, Carlos Coppello, Guillermina Quiroga and Graciela Gonzales amongst others. Leandro Oliver and Laila Rezk have been performed at Tango in Paradise 2013 and 2016.


Facundo Pinero
He worked in Casas de Tango as Madero Tango, Taconeando, Complejo Tango, Barracas Tango, Tango Red and Chiquin.
He began to travel the world at 17 years, in  different companies such as: Latin Dance, Tango Odyssey, Tango Emotion, Mora Godoy, Tanguera and Forever Tango.

Vanessa Vilalba
She worked in Casas de Tango as: La Ventana, Piazzolla Tango, Homero Manzi and Boca Tango.
SHe was champion of tango Baradero 2002 and later also she was jury.
She traveled the world for 4 years with the company Forever Tango and was assistant choreographer of it.

They have participated in the festival of Buenos Aires tango with their DESENCUENTRO.
They are jury in World Tango championship in different countries .
They also participate in numerous festivals as teachers and choreographers in different countries, such as Uk, Italy, Greece, Korea, USA and Japan, Turkey, Russia, China.
They created the show El Cruce where participate more than 17 couples
They create a new style mixing tango stage and salon , creating a new techniques to improve tango.







Solo Tango Orquesta – Moscow Russia

Solo Tango Orquestra  is rapidly rising to the top of the world Tango Olympus. Team founded in the summer of 2010 and the incredibly short time gained international recognition.

In October 2010, Solo Tango orquesta  won the international competition “Citta de Castelfidardo” in Italy, received the first prize in the category “Piazzollas Music”.

Tango orchestra, created by the efforts of magnificent Moscow musicians who are not one year of his life devoted to tango music.
Sound of the orchestra differs perfect sense of style, powerful energy and high quality of performance. Repertoire includes a complex tango songs, great sounding at major concert halls and, best of dance music orchestras “Golden Age of Tango”, under which it is convenient and comfortable to dance in the milongas.


Anthony Miller “El Mafioso” – Australia


With a great knowledge and passion for tango, and collection of many rare and unavailable tracks, Anthony offers an unforgettable evening for those who really appreciate tango.

Anthony is a principal of Sydney tango school ‘Tango Spirit’ and the resident DJ at Tango Spirit's Milongas Sydney. Has been invited to DJ to many places and festivals around the world: Santiago, Seoul, Hong Kong, Singapore, Shanghai, Buenos Aires, Ljubljana (Slovenia), Istanbul (Turkey).

Agoez Denzell

Indonesian Zumba, Salsa, Hip Hop Instructur and Choreographer, Tango DJ and Tango Dancer as well. Will open the Milonga nights in "Tango in Paradise 2017", to welcome and spoilt us with his tango music selection. Lets dance together with his rhythm on Thursday until Sunday, November 30th - December 3rd, 2017.

Aries Falconi y Anna Goh

 Aries Falconi, a natural born dancer from Cebu City Philippines started as a choreographer and latin dancer in 2003. Then he became a Latin Dancesport Athlete in Cebu City Dancesport Team and started joining local and international competitions around Asia from 2004 up to the present time. He started learning Argentine Tango in the year 2011 and attended numbers of workshops with all these great Maestros from Buenos Aires. Just recently, he won third place in Tango Salon in Manila Tango Blitz, Manila Philippines. Currently he is working at the Embrace Dance Studio, Brunei Darussalam as a Dance Teacher. Anna Goh, a Brunei resident, started dancing back in 2006 as a social dancer. She is the owner and proprietress of the Embrace Dance Studio in Brunei and surely is one of the best dance studios in Brunei up to date. With the love of dance, she started to learn Argentine Tango in 2013 and had attended numerous workshops of Argentine Tango around Asia. She had also joined international competitions around Asia in Latin and Standard disciplines. These great couple, Aries and Anna, started dancing together back in 2012. They won 4th place in Tango Exposed Singapore in 2014 and won 2nd place in the Tango de Pista Competition in Bali, Indonesia in 2014.                                                                               


Odile y Jose Luis

Odile and Jose Luis A.K.A "MooL" are popular teachers and dancers in Seoul, Korea.
Odile is also a choreographer and the director of Tango shoes Odile.
They have a strong partnership since they started dancing together from 2006 and started teaching and performing from 2009. They learned intesive Tango dance, culture and history from various maestros while they are staying in Buenos Aires from 2011 to 2012, 2015. They are also invited to perform at well known Milongas in Buenos Aires. They are also organizers of Sebastian Misse & Andrea Reyero, Alejandro Aquino & Natalia Hills, Ezequiel Paludi & Geraldin rojas workshop in Seoul.
They learned from many maetros such as Jorge Dispari & Maria del Carmen Romero, Carlos perez & rosa, Gabriel misse & Analia centurion, Andres moreno & Luciana Arruegi and most influenced by Javier Rodriguez & Andrea Misse, Sebastian Misse & Andrea reyero. Odile and Joseluis' dance is based on classic tango with strong connection and classic figure. Natural and elegance is the most important part of their tango. 


Jorence Altoveros y Jelica Yap

Jorence Altoveros is from Phillipine have been teaching Tango. Latin and many other social dance for about 13 years. His Love for Tango begin about 5 years ago and be train by many world top Argentine tango teachers. He have be invested to preform around Asia.

Jelica Yap from Malaysia. First love of my dance is Argentine tango be dancing for almost 5 years. Jorence Altoveros and Jelica Yap has been dancing together for about 5 years. Jorence is Jelica's teacher.


Victor Cho y Weining Chen

Victor Cho, 2015 Korea international tango champion ship-Champion 2015 Mundial de tango pista-finalist 2016 Mundial de tango pista-finalist. Wei-Ning Chen graduated with a Master degree (MFA) in Dance Performance from Taipei National University of the Arts and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Psychology from Kaohsiung Medicine University. In 2010, she received a scholarship from LMF Dance Fund to research Tango in Argentina. Since then she has dedicated her energy to combine the two different performing arts - modern dance and Argentine tango. Tango has an enormous and visible influence in her contemporary dance and choreography. Wei-Ning has a delicate and elegant tango style inherited from her maestros Javier Rodríguez and Andrea Misse. In the recent years, she was awarded the scholarship from National Culture and Arts Foundation and Scholarship Program from Chin-Lin Foundation for Culture and Arts. As such she is able to carry on her passionate devotion in dance. Right now she is a well-known dancer and upcoming choreographer in Taiwan with enviable potential.


Le Hang y Geppy Pagnozzi

Le Hang plays the key roles in the tango scene in Saigon. Started dancing tango from 2010 ever since every year she travels to Buenos Aires to nurture her passion and improve the dance quality with some of world top teachers like Aurora Lubiz, Ana Maria Schapira, Maria Prazaola...Together with Ta Tango Le Hang has promoted tango in Vietnam through various activities like performing in several cities within VN and Asia, organizing regular weekly tango class, milonga, group practicar, introduce tango culture, tango events, tango weeks and all the Saigon Tango Festival Editions from 2012.
Geppy Pagnozzi begins to devoted to the tango since 2005 studying in Milan.He participates in numerous lessons with teachers as Geraldine Rojas and Ezequiel Paludi, Maximiliano Cristiani and Karina Colmeiro, Carlitos Espinoza and Noelia Hurtado, Aoniken Quiroga and Alejandra Mantiñan,  Santiago Castro, Luis Alberto Rojas, Leo Ortiz, to draw near to the various expressions of the tango; but his great passion remains the tango milonguero, which is danced in the crowded dance floor in Buenos Aires.In 2008 Geppy went to Buenos Aires for the first time to leant Tango and he keeps returning every year for long periods to study with the more known exponents of this style: Susana Miller, Maria Plazaola, Ana Maria Schapira, Ricardo Viqueira, Jorge Firpo.He exhibits in Italy in numerous public demonstrations in plazas, theaters and milongas.
Le Hang and Geppy had lots of opportunities to train together in Buenos Aires with the same teachers. They performed in Tango in Paradise 2015 and will come back in the TIP edition of 2016 - the combination of the tango from the East and West in Bali.

Rodrigo y Natsuko

Rodrigo y Natsuko, 2008-Partnership Started. 2010-Open the Studio “EL ABRAZO DE TANGO Hiroshima Dance Company”. 2015-First place winners of the “Asian Tango Championship" in Tokyo (Scenario Category). 2015-Second place winners of the “Korean International Championship”. 2016-Currently want to work as Dancers and Event Organizers in Hiroshima City, in order to promote and share their passion for Argentine Tango.

Oliver Victorino y Wiwied Darmawan

Oliver Victorino y Wiwied Darmawan has been dancing together since 2013 and started their partnership in Argentinian Tango in 2015. The participated in the Manila tango Championship 2016, placing 1st in the Amateur and 2nd in the Open category. At the Tango Dance Asian Championship 2016 in Tokyo, they placed 17 out of the 77 couples who participated. 

Oliver has been teaching and competing in Ballroom Dance – Waltz, American Tango, Foxtrot and Quickstep for many years.

Wiwied has been exploring and learning different dance disciplines since she was young and started to learn the Argentine Tango in 2013. With their passion for the Argentinian Tango, together, they continue to focus  on exploring and studying the essence and elegance.

Alyzsa Lim y Iskandar Zulkarnain

Alyzsa Lim and Iskandar Zulkarnain are poles apart in their lives. She is an accomplished Ballet dancer. He is a rising stage actor. She strives for perfection and purity of the art. He loves to perform and go crazy. Somehow, they found a common ground in the art of Argentine Tango. Together they formed a sensuous partnership which earned them kudos in the South East Asian Tango championship 2011, where they came in second only to the president of the Philippine Tango club, Juan Borja. They also have had a string of performances for clients such as the Argentine Embassy KL, International Women’s Association, Make-a-Wish foundation (where Alyzsa also starred in a lead role in a dance theater production sponsored by them) and the Royal Lake club KL. With another partner (who had little Tango experience), she also swept the Asian Tango Championship twice more in 2012, making her an undefeated champion in 2012. Meanwhile, Iskandar made waves in the Kuala Lumpur English Theater scene. In 2013 they became the first Malaysians to compete in the Asian Tango Championship in Tokyo. In 2014, They finished third in the Manila Tango Championship, while also representing Malaysia in Tokyo again. They are also performing in Iskandar’s debut Tango dance drama, “Prisonero” as part of the Short and Sweet Festival in October 14-18 Their Stage-style of Tango has wowed their audiences, whilst pulling them in with the romance and passion of Argentine Tango.


Jose y May

Argentinian born Jose and fiery Spaniard May are internationally renowned tango dancers, teachers and choreographers. Jose’s passion for dance, unique connection with the music and excellent international training led him to perform Tango professionally for many years in Argentina, Spain and all over the World, before expanding his repertoire to include Bachata and other Latin dance styles. He was a principle member of the well-known dance company, Conceptango where he performed in theatres worldwide before heading to South Korea for the World Championships, placing between the first 20 best couples in the World. May’s Ballet and Flamenco background fuelled her beautiful love affair with dance, and her dynamic tango style! She performed in theatres throughout Madrid, before focusing on her current specialities - Argentine Tango, Salsa and Bachata. This captivating duo‘s unique partnership has led to the development of a revolutionary way of understanding, dancing and teaching the Argentine Tango. Since moving from Spain to Australia 5 years ago, Jose and May have secured numerous titles including 1st place at the World Latin Dance Cup in Miami, Professional Argentine Tango division 2015, Salsa Duet winners Australian Salsa Open (ASO), State Championships winners, Australian Salsa Open Soloist winner (Jose), and 3rd place at the 2012 Australian National Championships. Together, they run the Argentine Tango, Salsa and Bachata programs at the popular and well-known K&L Dance Studio in Brisbane and are also resident judges on the panel of the Australia’s Tango and Latin Dance events.

Nicolas Marini y Vivian Yeh

Nicolas Marini (Argentina) and Vivian Yeh (Taiwanese who lives in Shanghai) met each other in Buenos Aires in February, 2016. They started dancing as a couple from July. In the very short amount of time, they have already gained trust and reputation among communities in Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, and Seoul. Even though they came from different background in the dance training, they share the same passion and believe to Tango. "Tango is the way of life, we live the Tango". They don't limit themselves to one specific style, with respect to the tradition and admire to the new. They believe that the true beauty of the music and embrace will lead them to the dance.



Tango Lovers Jakarta

Tango Lovers Jakarta is a non-profit organization, which aims to promote tango to the community in Indonesia. It organize by some ladies who dedicated their passion for tango, the mission of the organization is to grow a healthy tango by organizing workshops and other activities, such as “practicas” (to practice), “milongas” (to dance), and also special events by inviting maestros from abroad such as Argentina, Europe, and other country of the world. Ratih Soe Kosasie is a lady who really in loves to dance tango, with her passion in tango she established Tango Lovers Jakarta in December 2008, and work together with some friends to make the community bigger. Within of its formation, Tango Lovers Jakarta has indeed set a new trend to create a new environment for social dancing. The tango fever is now raging on, in the capital city of Indonesia, Jakarta. Come and share their passion for it takes more to tango.
