Jacqueline and Anthony combined their passion, elegance, and skills and founded Tango Spirit in 2006 to transmit the culture, the history and essence of Tango Argentino as an art. Jacqueline and Anthony performed in Australian Tango Festivals, they also travel with their performance group to Tokyo and perform in other festivals around Asia.


Anthony Miller “El Mafioso” loved tango music since a child watching his parents dance and learned originally from teacher A. Davidov in Europe. Besides his career as a respected tango teacher and dancer, he is also a professional presenter and recognized world-class Tango DJ, traveling regularly around the world to participate in many Tango Festivals and Marathons.


Jacqueline Gutierrez Simpson from Chile initiated her tango journey in 1995 and has been teaching tango in Sydney since 2001. She worked for the World Tango Festival in Buenos Aires between 2001-2006 translating the classes of Juan Carlos Copes, Maria Nieves, Javier Rodriguez, Geraldine Rojas, etc. She taught and perform in Santiago de Chile in 2006. Jacqueline participated as a tango teacher in studies of tango between 2008 and 2009 with the universities of McGill and New England. Jacqueline is one of the founders of The Sydney Tango website and one of the directors of Tango Entre Amigos from 2001-2017.
